Am updating my previous post since I'm kinda repeating myself.

I came up with this interesting quote on a design site blog thingy while doing research for my essay. It went along the lines of "you're not an artist; don't try to be." I wonder: does this mean if I'm an artist I shouldn't try to design XD'' lol.

I suppose everybody who knows me knows I HATE studying design. Not character/environment/game design but wannabe artsy-fartsy layout and graphic design. I DO appreciate it, don't get me wrong.. don't want to get any angry designers giving crap comments on my blog again ( e.g "You don't know me but I want you to know you annoy meeee!!" comments) I just have this deep aversion to it.. like how some people can't be doctors cause they can't stand the sight of blood. I'm like those people. Yeah, that describes it perfectly, really.

Anry: T__T *got left at home..*

I've been really bored lately. I quit work for like a week in a lame attempt to concentrate on my assignments (ended up wasting entire week doing nothing *cries*) and went back today. It was really fun for some reason, although it is pretty hard work. My co-workers are all really decent (and my manager is my real-life hero ORZ'').

I'm really looking forward to the Doll meet.. mainly cause of my new camera XD'' Hope I can take plenty of nice photos. I'm thinking of only bringing 1 or 2 dolls, and a big box of stuff I want to sell/trade off =_=' Problem is WHICH dolls.. I might have to leave a Yo behind.. or bring nothing but Yos.. I don't know T_T; I feel like bringing Eiri so I don't seem like a Volks snob/whore -.-;

Deadlines looming..

Lately I've been feeling so unmotivated and tired of my course. I've come to the conclusion that I am not an intellectual, in fact I am RATHER STUPID. I can't write essays past SPM level!! (In fact, I probably degraded)
I miss Ling, I wants her brains T____T''(my best friend since high school, electronics engineer and sweetest person on the planet)

I just wish I had some motivation.. ANYTHING to make my course seem important and exciting, and it's just not happening.

Take my lecturer for instance. I'm sure some of you knows who he is but just in case he googles himself I'm gonna call him H.K.
Now, every week when I have a class with H.K, he will always tell me how awesome the design of his USB drive is. It usually happens when I try to upload my work on his computer. He will never fail to tell me what a good price he paid for it, its sleek design, how it lights up when its being used, how it can hold 8GB compared to my lousy mp3 player/USB which can only hold 1 GB (I know, I'm cheap). It doesn't help that my mp3 player is this chubby pink thing ("So badly designed, Rah-chel.. take a look at mine!!")

This has been happening every week for this entire semester and my god it's driving me batshit insane. I tried to tell him of this USB drive that grows as you store data unto it (Link here) cause I thought he'd be interested and he just shrugged it off with something along the lines of "No, mine is still better".
I can stand the rest of his random babblings but please for the love of god leave my poor USB alone.

Also, I'm sad cause I can't attend Ying's wedding. T_T; siiigh It was gonna be the first ever wedding where I know the bride personally. I'm usually dragged to weddings where I don't really know anyone and spend the entire time bored.

Anyway, out of frustration and boredom, I reloaded my WoW account, intending to play casually. Casually. (My pally is already level 80)Casually. (Dual spec? Yes please.)CASUALLY!! (Need to be exalted in all the new factions? Not a problem! 8D). In other words, I'm DOOMED! T___T It's not my fault Blizzard made WoTLK so beautiful.. *cries*

In the meantime, I am procrastinating more and more and assignments are starting to be a huge pile of... things.

I'm kinda glad I wasn't the only one who thought that designers are some of the most annoying, 'special-snowflake-complex' people I have ever met. -_- And I totally agree that EVERYONE can design. That's why I refuse to ever call myself a 'designer'.

Sorry for the rant, just overexcited that somebody out there actually spoke my mind.
